2037 IS THE OVER/UNDER DATE FOR WILL FERRELL: Steve Martin has won this year's Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. A fine choice indeed (and certainly better than previous winner Whoopi Goldberg), but given that (among others) Mike Nichols and Elaine May, Woody Allen, Mel Brooks, and James L. Brooks have yet to be honored, seems maybe a tad premature. Given his recent tendency to appear in crappy movies, you may have forgotten such moments of brilliance as "The Tonight Song," "A Holiday Wish From Steve Martin," and his highly witty "encounter cards."
