FOUR YEAR OLDS R-O-C-K: Cosmo Girl just watched Round 7 with me -- her first Bee experience. It was very exciting for everyone. She was astounded that each speller only got one chance to spell the word: "you mean they don't get to try again? Ever??" And she was sucked in by the stress almost immediately, jumping up and down when the spellers were running out of time and hiding behind me when they actually began to spell the word.
She asked if we could have our own spelling bee tomorrow night. I can't wait.
Back to the Bee, now that I have persuaded Cosmo Girl that no punaises lurk in her bed.
