ENJOY YOUR THREE-WEEK VACATION: You'll recall that we don't always do a separate Idol results post, but hey, why not. Great to see Carly Smithson and Michael Johns doing "The Letter" again -- it bugged me that the format of the AI tour this summer didn't allow for an encore of this particular number. Nice that the new format allows us to see the good performances on a results show instead of the miserable ones. And I'll leave the results for the comments, but will just note here that it's nice to see a few surprises this early in the season!
