MY BODY, MY CHOICE, MY WAWA: Wawa turns 45 today, and while those outside the Mid-Atlantic region don't care I imagine those around here will express their appreciation for the essential, ubiquitous, consistently solid convenience stores. The Hagley Museum and Library presents a photo gallery from those early years, and do visit the Wawa2010 site, chronicling the efforts of five women from West Chester who are trying to visit every store in the chain by the start of next year. (So far, 556 of the ~600 stores.)
Also turning 45 today: Dave Pirner, lead singer of Soul Asylum.
