STARLINE DINER, BERLIN CT, 11AM: An elderly woman approaches the table, and reaches down towards a 16-month-old baby in her high chair:
Woman (to baby): Is the Easter Bunny going to visit your house this weekend?
Baby's Father (leaning over, sotto voce): No, ma'am, he's not.
Woman (to baby): Don't you want to see the Easter Bunny?
Baby's Father (a bit more insistently): Ma'am, we're Jewish.
Woman: Oh.
Queries: (1) since when does the Easter Bunny make house calls? (2) Is there another way this could have been handled?
