MY LITTLE PONY GONE BAD: In things nearly as disturbing as the London Olympic Mascots, I give you 55 Bad Unicorn Tattoos. (HT: Jezebel)

  1. I stopped after I saw the unicorn making love to a dolphin from behind. That was enough.

Then you're missing RoboCop riding a My Little Unicorn.  And that's a shame.

Not to pick nits, but the chief problem with some (not all) of those unicorn tattoos is that there is a unicorn at all.  Neither the non-unicorn concept nor the execution is at fault.  So what the curator seems to be saying is that all unicorn tattoos are bad, period.  The title seems to suggest that these are only the bad unicorn tattoos, and if you look elsewhere you might find some kick-ass unicorn tattoos.  That makes it a bad headline.

I just want to punch the person who made the unicorn's horn a penis.  I'm not given to violence, but that just creeps me right out.

Mr. Spaceman, I concur with your philosophy.

PS It's only 54 really bad unicorn tattoos.  The "Everyday I'm hustling" tattoo shows up twice.  Unless (heaven forbid) two people got the exact same unicorn-as-hustler tattoo.

Nope -- it's just saying here's a list of 55 bad unicorn tattoos.  There could be more.  As far as construing "bad unicorn tattoos" goes, I think it's fair to say that bad an unicorn modify tattoos.  Not that "bad" modifies "unicorn tattoos."  There are bad tattoos, and then there is a subset of bad tattoos featuring unicorns.  That way, we don't have to imply that there are good unicorn tattoos.

Especially not the one that says "white power."  I will not stand idly by while the unicorn is appropriated as a symbol of racism, hatred, and division.  We're taking it back!
