BONER OF THE DAY: Tough call -- is it the political candidate who tweeted "Barebacking again in northern Indiana... Oh my goodness, I'm gonna be sore tomorrow!" only to later state, when being apprised of an alternate meaning for the first word, "OH MY GOODNESS!!! Seriously??? Wow. Let me clarify: I was on the back of a horse for the sole purpose of transportation." (HT: Bilerico.)

Or this guy (HT: Deadspin):

Updated:
The video was staged, as the reporter explains to Hugh Hewitt (audio).

The twitter faux pas is amusing.  The video? Cringe-worthy.  That's just terrible.  Wow.

  2. What on earth possessed the guy to touch the sculpture?  "Dude, are you serious?"

  3. Why was he carving an ice sculpture outside?  Is it because this vid is as fake as it seems?

  4. I like how the interviewer thought he could somehow make it right. Like he was going to resculpt the ice himself?!

  5. I love that the sculptor wasn't fake and all "Oh, it's okay," like so many people would be. I was surprised he didn't punch the guy, frankly. The reporter kind of deserved it!

Who has something that fragile be that unstable?  I mean, seriously, the guy barely leaned on the thing.

  8. the reporter has admitted that he and the sculptor staged the accident as a joke. the anchors and the producer were not in on the joke.

@ps -- thanks for verifying that, because we called shenanagins from the get-go. He shoved the sculpture too hard, and the guy's reaction was a bit much.

And if you look at the sculpture and how crude it is, and the lengths the reporter goes to to say how long it's been worked on and how it's the prized posession of the sculptor, or whatever...

Oh, thank goodness it was staged.  I honestly spent a large part of yesterday feeling terrible for the sculptor.
