THE WORLD IS WAITING FOR THEM:We have teams for our next season of TAR--included are Team Home Shopping, Team Princeton A Cappella, Team Birth Mother-Daughter She Gave Up, and Team Beach Volleyball. (Based on the profiles on the CBS site, I think it's safe to assume that Team Princeton will develop a number of fans around here quickly.)

  1. I realized last week one combo they've never (IIRC) done on the show: Boss/Assistant.  I want more TEAM THAT WAS CAST BECAUSE THEY'RE SMART AND WILL DO WELL IN THIS, and they don't cast for that so much.

In the CBS video, I like Team Silent Thunder.

  2. The doctors seem like they may be "smart and will do well."  And at least we didn't get FRED!

Is this the largest number of all ladies teams? I would not want to get to know my birth mother on a race around the world with cameras. YMMV.

  4. Agree with you both -- Teams A Capella, Silent Thunder, Youtube and Doctors seem the most fun. I also can't decide whether Team Badass (mohawks & tattoos) are actually badass or Team Wannabe Badass.

  5. Team Princeton would be enough for me, but they're musicians/actors too (Schwartz has played Matt in "The Fantasticks" off-Broadway -- the same role as TAR13 winner Nick Spangler)!

I have some friends who are a boss and employee who have been saying for two years that they need me to direct their application video.  The problem is that they are (or one of them is) not willing to film the application until the boss has been nice to the employee for at least one year straight.  That tells you most of what you need to know -- they would be an awesome team to watch.

  7. Also, fictional boss/employee team I'd watch?  Ari Gold and Lloyd.

Katie of Team Beach Volleyball said the person she would want to trade places with is Bella Swan.  Therefore, on principle, I will be rooting for Beach Volleyball's quick downfall.

Team I want to see: Team Doctor and Amy. Imagine the Doctor being forced to travel around the world without the TARDIS. Amy being a force of nature in airports. The Doctor being confused by vehicles that only go where they're steered. He would probably have an unfair advantage at any needle-in-a-haystack challenges or eating challenges.

Now that I have thought of it I am sad that I will never get to see it.

From the video, I'm guessing the latter.  Team B(l)a(n)dass?

And yes, Team Hot Docs (can we just go ahead and call them Team Shonda?) look like they'll be entertaining.

  11. Threadjack, but a note to frequent commenter Carmichael Harold:  If you read this, can you please let us know that you're ok?  I believe you work in the building currently under siege outside the DC area.

  12. Wouldn't every challenge likely just be "Doctor points sonic screwdriver, problem solved?"

Nah, only ones that involve getting through doors.

I had friends in the entertainment industry that made it through quite a few rounds interviewing as boss/employee (producer/asst, to be specific) - they got negged at the last minute b/c they got Mike White and his dad to do it and they didn't want too many Hollywood teams.  Also, they said the reason they hadn't had boss/employee before is that they didn't think it was as relatable for middle America...not sure why - doesn't everyone have a boss?

Team Princeton has my vote, of course, because not only are they a cappella singers, but they also do speech and debate!

I'd watch Michael and Dwight on TAR quite happily. They'd only last one episode, but I'd enjoy that episode.

I would honestly be perfectly happy with say team david tennant and billy piper or you know any other companion or any pairing of dr. who actors.  Like Mike White and his dad but even more nerdy.
